Adventure Park at West Bloomfield Opens for Fourth Season
Plants Trees and Donates to Arbor Day Foundation
The Adventure Park at West Bloomfield began its 2017 season in April during the first special event at the park this year, which celebrated Arbor Day. It donated a dollar for each participant to the Arbor Day Foundation and planted over 300 seedlings.
“The Adventure Park is not one single aerial treetop trail, but a variety of different color-coded aerial trails of differing challenge levels, from beginner through expert, that climbers choose from depending on their age or climbing experience,” communications director Anthony Wellman says. “These trails consist of platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope to form 'crossings’ of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines.”
“In addition to its regular schedule, The Adventure Park is also known for its award-winning special events,” Wellman adds. “Special events in May include College Night (May 10), Mother’s Day (May 14), Lumberjack Glow Night (May 19) and Memorial Day (May 29). People come from all over southeast Michigan to experience this family-friendly, eco-friendly park.”
The Adventure Park is located at 6600 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield. For more information, call Anthony Wellman at 248-419-1550, or visit their website at WestBloomfieldTrees.org.
