Natural Awakenings News: Annual Virtual Event Offered At No Charge

On Saturday, January 22, International Institute of Yoga Therapy (IIYT) will hold their Annual Yoga Therapy Clinical Symposium. The event is offered virtually at no charge. Established in 2014 by certified yoga therapist and program director Veronica Zador, IIYT is Michigan’s first accredited yoga therapy program registered with both Yoga Alliance and International Association of Yoga Therapists. Originally located at Beaumont, IIYT has expanded to include a distinguished faculty and broadened the scope of educational and clinical opportunities, including research, in four major hospital systems state-wide.

“By providing a rigorous academically based curriculum and extensive mentored clinical externship within teaching hospitals, graduates can substantiate over 1,000 hours of didactic education and clinical experience in the applications of yoga therapy in healthcare environments.” says Zador, who was previously president of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. “Attracting students internationally, IIYT continues to set leadership standards for academic and clinical excellence in the field of yoga therapy.”

IIYT also offers weekly virtual yoga therapy sessions for cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers; anxiety and stress management as well as 1-on-1 sessions at no charge.
